I moved to Syracuse to pursue my MA Advertising degree in 2012 with a Dean's scholarship.

13 months and 9 classes later, I was able to expand my knowledge in various advertising and marketing specializations - account management, strategic planning, media planning, digital marketing and strategic brand management, among others. Through the program, I was given the chance to work on projects for big brands and clients like Chobani, Ford, Welch Allyn, Gannett, Blackberry, and Timex.

Towards the end of the academic year, my perfomance and efforts have been recognized. I received the Newhouse Graduate School Master's Prize Award just before I flew to Dubai for an internship.

I started my freshman year in DLSU with dreams of becoming a news reporter. But having been exposed to production classes (film, photography, television and radio broadcasting) halfway through the program, I realized that I enjoyed the process of being a producer/production manager and creating a piece from an idea that a team collaborated on.

Because of my familiarity with production processes paralleled by my drive and motivation to learn, opportunities in marketing and advertising opened up. It fortunately led me to an industry I didn't even think I would be a part of when I started college.
